Family Stabilization

-
Neighborhood Mothers Group: The strength of communities lies in mothers' strength. Encouraging neighborhood mothers' groups are critical to neighborhood stability and women’s mental health. Division in America is partly due to an eroded sense of neighborhood. Strengthening neighborhoods will build stronger communities.
Tax Reform

-
Taxation: New Yorkers are over-taxed, especially our working families. Finding avenues to fair taxation is key. Federal policies need to put states like NY into consideration when additional taxes are modified.
Public Safety

-
Grassroots Support: Support streets and community organizations that are working to suppress the prevalence of guns and violence in the communities. This initiative would strengthen community power to intervene early and assist law enforcement agencies.
Education

-
Only 38 percent of American people have bachelor’s degrees: It is important that we make college affordable and reachable so that America remains competitive on the world stage. America is behind and we need to lead in the number of people with a college education.
Women's Rights

-
Codify Roe v. Wade!
-
Violence Against Women Act
-
Affirm ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment
Environment and Renewable Energy

-
New Development Scrutiny: Put a stop to any new product development that does not prioritize conscious environmental policy.
Transportation and Infrastructure

-
Roads and pipes are crumbling: Support President Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and fight for Central New York and the Mohawk Valley to prioritize impoverished areas for better water pipes, sewer, and stormwater upgrades. Allocation for funding to deal with flooding in places with streams through resources for dredging for struggling communities.
Voting Rights

-
Voting Rights: Protect and strengthen Voting Rights Act (VRA). Our democracy depends on citizen engagement. Protect voting rights for all Americans, especially minorities who have been disenfranchised for generations.
Workforce Development

-
America COMPETES Act: Encourage the U.S. Senate to send the COMPETES Act to the President for signature. The COMPETES Act will make training and education accessible and affordable to encourage people to enter the manufacturing industry and close labor shortages. It will help build and strengthen American-made goods as well as the supply chain. Boosting our supply chain will reduce inflation as more goods would be available.
Healthcare

-
Affordable Health Care: Chol will support solutions that provide health care to more Americans. Costs are already out of reach for many and there is a need for bipartisan discussion to address this crisis. Chol will work with all representatives to find a solution to this problem. Access to affordable health care is not a Republican or Democratic problem, it is an American problem that needs a collaborative approach.
Support for Rural Americans

-
Support H.R.2361: Support rural communities with childcare services, revitalization plans, educational opportunities, workforce development and quality affordable housing.
Housing

-
Affordable and Quality Housing: Housing in the United States has not seen major investment since the ’90s. There is a shortage of quality affordable housing in America, especially in urban and rural America. Chol’s plan is to build more affordable housing so Americans can have stable places to live, raise families and thrive.
Foreign Policy

-
Support negotiation and diplomacy over aggression as an approach to advance American interest in the world.
-
Support our friends around the world.
-
Advocate for a policy to remove aggressors from the United Nations Security Council.
LGBTQIA+ Rights

-
LGBTQIA+ Rights: Chol supports federal legislation to prohibit discrimination against LGBTQIA+ and will fight for the community to affirm dignity and respect in our country. Chol will co-sponsor the Equality Act and seek bipartisan support in advancing the bill.
